A new friend

I had the most lovely conversation with a new friend today.  My new boss introduced her to me before I moved because she lives in the neighborhood I was looking to move into.  So we had a phone call after I accepted the job where she gave me all kinds of great advice.  She then encouraged me to reach out once I had moved.

And so that is what I did.  We met up at a casual Vietnamese place in our neighborhood that has really good food and talked.  The conversation flowed so easily.  We have so much in common.  And she's such an interesting person who seems so incredibly kind.  She said she would love to introduce me to some of her friends and we talked about doing dinner again soon.

I'm in awe at all the people I'm already connecting with after only being here a little over 3 weeks.
